Daily Use and Field Work
Practical guidance for operators, technicians, and reviewers using procedures during everyday maintenance work.
Finding the right procedure quickly
Use clear company and site names, then rely on procedure names and custom IDs to locate equipment fast. Search becomes much easier when editors use a consistent pattern such as Line-Machine-Position or Area-Asset Number.
Reading the procedure row
List rows tell the user a lot before they even open the procedure. The row shows the name, custom ID, whether the QR code is linked, and whether a PDF is ready to download. Flagged rows are highlighted so review items are easy to spot.
When to use the PDF versus the live procedure
The live procedure is best during review and editing. The PDF is ideal for printing, offline reference, training packets, or situations where a static approved version is required in the field.
Tips
- Use the live app during authoring or while checking recent edits.
- Use the PDF in controlled work packets, binders, and audit evidence.
